Marsala - the color of 2015
This year, the color geniuses at Pantone have officially named the color of year: Marsala!
Marsala (Pantone 18-1438) is a naturally robust and earthy grape red. Dramatic and at the same time grounding, the rich and full-bodied red-brown Marsala brings color warmth into home interiors when used on its own or as a strong accent to many other colors.. The colour enriches our minds, bodies and souls.
A matte finish highlights Marsala’s organic nature while adding a sheen conveys a completely different message of glamour and luxury. "This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors." Leatrice EisemanExecutive Director, Pantone Color Institute

In general we will see a lot more red and copper-orange as 2015 rolls out. The hues of the red scale will mix in well in those Scandinavian homes and make it more interesting than just the basic pale palette of white, beige and grey (Source: BoBedre.dk and bedreboligliv.dk).
